Large Barred Boar produces flattened beefsteak‑type tomatoes typically in the 8–12 oz range. The fruit shows a pink‑brown base with shimmering green stripes, giving it a dramatic, almost iridescent look. Inside, the flesh is meaty, pink, and intensely flavorful, leaning toward the rich, complex profile typical of dark tomatoes. It originated as a selection from the Black and Brown Boar line and was the first large striped tomato Brad Gates developed.
