Hello
Hi! My name is Sabrina Doss. I live in Northwest Arkansas. I began gardening in 2019 and quickly became a plant and seed addict. My family loves to spend summer evenings sharing cool drinks in the garden while nibbling on the fresh fruits and vegetables surrounding us. (My dogs even like to steal a pepper or two when we aren't looking).

I'm so excited you are here as I love sharing my passion for gardening with others. It's become my mission to teach everyone how to grow their own delicious food from home.
My Story
My passion for gardening really began when my oldest son became incredibly ill. As we searched for answers I began to take a hard look at our food, our cleaning supplies, our personal care products, and all the other products used in our house that could be contributing to his illness. It took some time for us to find a diagnosis, but it was finally determined he had eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). This chronic immune system disease causes white blood cells (eosinophils) to build up in the lining of the esophagus and cause reactions to foods and allergens. My son ended up on a very strict diet: vegan, gluten free, soy free, nut free, legume free, and oat free. These restrictions led me to delve deeper into nutrition and vegan and gluten-free cooking. We quickly had to learn how to ensure our son was getting the proper nutrition in spite of all of these restrictions. Having the freshest, most organically grown food possible at our fingertips was paramount. He needed every bit of the nutrients from the foods we ate, not something that has traveled hundred of miles on a truck and had lost much of its nutritional value by the time it reached grocery store shelves. Gardening also became my therapy, helping me to cope with my son's pain and my inability to take it all away. Now, with my son in remission, I want to share what I've learned and help other families enjoy the most nutritionally dense foods right from their backyards.
